Objective
The objective is to certify that the participant has gained the requisite knowledge & skills to help define & implement an organization's measurement program using Quantitative Software Process Management (QSPM) techniques.
An organization needs to consistently control and improve its processes to deliver products that meet customer requirements and remain competitive. QSPM is a framework that integrates the concept of measurement with software process management. QSPM provides an approach through which objective insight into an organization's goals and the capability of its processes can be determined.
The certificate would confirm the understanding of the participant to:
* Realize the significance of managing a process quantitatively * Formulate a measurement action plan * Apply techniques to collect, verify, and organize the process data * Apply statistical tools to organize, analyze, and interpret process data * Analyze and control the performance of a process * Initiate and sustain process improvement activities

Target Audience
* Software professionals with more than 2 years of experience * Professionals from non-IT domain with an overall experience of more than 2 years and intend to switch to quality/ process improvement domain * Software Project Managers, Software Quality Analysts and Software Engineering Process Group members * Certified Software Process Engineers (CSPE) who wish to enhance their knowledge and become Certified Software Process Analyst (CSPA)
Prerequisites
* Education: o Graduate or equivalent o Basic knowledge of process framework/ exposure to quality * Waiver: o If a person has more than 2 years of experience the first prerequisite can be waived o If a person has cleared the CSPE exam both the prerequisites can be waived
Application Validity
Each application is valid for a period of One Year.

Format of Exam
* Exam duration: 2 hours (Breakup of the duration: 40 min Objective, 60 min Subjective, 20 min Case study = 120 minutes) * Question paper consists of following sections: o Section 1 Objective: 40% weightage (40 questions) o Section 2 Subjective: 45% weightage (12 questions) o Section 3 Case Study: 15% weightage (1 question, 2 options would be provided to chose from) * Passing percentage o For each of the 3 sections: 60% o Overall percentage in certification exam: 70%
