Designation Senior Test EngineerJob Description Job DescriptionDevelop automated data tests using Informatica DVO - Automate test data set up using SQL scripts, QTP and VB Script or Selenium / Java - Analyze new features / defects for optimal test scenarios and use good judgment to apply automation Vs manual testing - Contribute to development of test automation frameworks / reusable components to increase test development agility - Productively negotiate with developers and product owners at defect triages to evangelize product quality - Deploy new software builds and validate integrity - Review technical specifications and installation scripts - Estimate test effort and identify related tasks for individual user stories - Exemplify use of agile methodology at stand-ups, sprint kick-offs and sprint reviews. Help enhance the methodology with constructive and candid criticism at sprint retrospectives - Learn continuously and inspire use of latest techniques / methodologies for product quality - Contribute to overall project validation strategy and approach - Develop and implement automated / semi-automated Performance Testing including Bench Marking, Stress, and Stability - Develop and execute detailed test specifications. Records and tracks detailed results - Maintain test scenarios and test data for projects under test - Work closely with project team members throughout the project software development life cycle - Review all pertinent project documentation including requirements, technical specification, project validation deliverables reviews and project walk-through-s - Participate in software defect review meetings. Monitor and maintain automated software defect tracking database - Assist in the creation/maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures - Respond to all inquiries regarding the project under test - Track issues in defect tracking system. Prepares defect metric reports. Analyzes defect metrics for trends and progress - Report on project testing status to managementJob QualificationsEducation: BS in Computer Science or equivalent Minimum Work Experience: 6 years experience in structured software development environment 4 years- experience in commercial product testing using test automation tools such as QTP, Selenium and Informatica DVO 4 years- experience testing at the data level, extensively utilizing SQL on the command line or writing SQL scripts Experience with both automated and manual testing of back-end / server software Experience in a regulated clinical trials domain is desirable Special Skills: Experience with test case design and strategy.
