Designation Software Engineer II - TESTJob Description Position OverviewIn this role you will be supporting the studio team with technical testing, test automation and debugging. Critical partner of game development teams, Software Engineers in Test are pushing products/services to their limit, making sure they perform to customer expectations and conform to the highest quality standards. In partnership with software engineers and program managers, and using various programming and scripting languages, they write test cases and plans; design, develop, and maintain automation test tools; and execute test plans/suites that isolate and debug software problems.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelops and executes automated unit testing and integration testing suites.Leverages test automation tools to create efficiencies and drive qualityExecutes test strategy in area assigned; develops test cases for specific featuresClarifies how features should work to eliminate ambiguous requirementsWrites and uses regressions testsProvide feedback on testability during design reviewsProactively reviews his/her test plans for completeness with leadsDevelops and uses the latest testing toolsPrioritizes assigned bugs with supervision from leadTakes responsibility for all tasks related to his/her assigned featuresDemonstrates ad-hoc testingDesign and performs performance/load tests; interprets and acts on resultsDesired Profile Required skills and experienceBS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experienceAt least 5-8 years of work experienceC++ professional experienceScripting experience with Lua or any other languages like Python, Perl etc.A strong understanding of testing methodologies, experienced with building test strategiesExperience with Test AutomationDemonstrated problem solving and debugging skillsUnderstanding of Software Development Life-Cycle processesExperience with version control and build systemsOnline and/or shared middleware technology experience is a strong assetExperience 5 - 8 YearsIndustry Type IT-Software / Software ServicesRole Testing EngineerFunctional Area IT Software - QA & TestingEducation UG - B.Sc - Computers, B.Tech/B.E. - Any SpecializationPG - Any PostgraduateDOCTORATE - Doctorate Not RequiredLocation Hyderabad / SecunderabadKeywords Test Automation, version control, technical testing, Lua, Python, Perl, middlewareContact HRElectronic Arts Games (India) Pvt LtdWebsite http://www.ea.com
