Minister for Health and Medical Education Chaudhary Lal Singh has said that reformative measures would be initiated to upgrade healthcare facilities across the state. He said that due care would be given to upgrade different diagnostic facilities in the hospitals for providing better healthcare to the people. This was stated by the Minister during his visit to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu on Wednesday. He said a full-fledged testing laboratory would be established in the GMC for H1N1 tests. He said in this regard the government has released Rs 6 crore for setting up of testing laboratory for the purpose. During the visit the Minister interacted with the doctors and para-medical staff, enquired healthcare facilities at GMC and directed for ensuring all possible treatment facilities to the patients. He asked for ensuring proper sanitation facilities in and around the hospital. Lal Singh during his interaction with the doctors assured them that all their genuine demands would be mitigated well in time, however, he embarked upon them to work with dedication and devotion for the welfare of the patients. |
