India's third largest software exporter Wipro has appointed Kris Denton as the new head of its global consulting business, following the departure of former head of consulting Alexis Samuel, who spent nearly two decades in the company.
Denton, who joined Wipro in 2009 and has had stints at McKinsey and Accenture, will report to software application services head, Bhanumurthy BM. A Wipro spokesperson confirmed the developments, adding that Samuel left the company "to pursue opportunities outside Wipro."
"Wipro can confirm that Kris Denton has been appointed as the global head of Wipro Consulting Services (WCS). Kris, who has held multiple roles over the years at WCS, was the lead partner at WCS for North America in his last role. Based in Chicago, he has more than 25 years of executive and consulting experience.
In this new role, Kris will now report to Bhanumurthy B M, president and chief executive, Business Application Services, Wipro," a Wipro spokesperson said in an email.
"Alexis Samuel, the incumbent head of Wipro Consulting Services has decided to pursue opportunities outside of Wipro. We thank him for his contribution to the organization and wish him all the success in his future endeavors," Wipro added. |
